Spoilers: Season 2 Christmas, i think. And Gilly from SNL!
Pairing: Jack/Liz
Summary: Jack and Liz go ice skating. Liz does not know how to skate.
"Ice skating, Lemon. Ever tried that before?" Jack said as Liz walked in his office.
"When I was 12. And I really sucked because I had no balance on my feet."
"Well, I'll take you and I'll teach you."
"Jack Donaghy, the anti-fun guy, knows how to ice skate?"
"Lemon, when I was a young boy, my mother made me take sports lessons. I chose ice skating for two weeks, until Colleen said ice skating wasn't for men."
"When are we going?"
"Now."
"Now? I have work to do."
"Get Pete to fill in for you."
When they arrived at the ice rink outside, there were a few people. Jack paid (like always) for admission and the skates. They didn't rent one, because Jack already owned one and he bought Liz a pair.
They were on the ice when Liz was holding on to the bars.
"Lemon, let go of the railing."
"No."
"Lemon."
"What?"
"Lemon."
"That's me."
"Lemon."
"Ugh, fine!"
She slowly let go of the railing and as soon as she did, she fell.
Jack quietly laughed and helped her get back up and hold onto the railings again.
"Watch me, Lemon."
Liz watched as Jack sped through the skating rink two times and skated back to Liz backwards.
"And that...is how you ice skate."
Everyone started applauding.
"Oh yeah? Well, my confidence built up, so I can skate now. Watch me!"
She was doing great until she reached the middle of the rink, when she forgot to take a step, and she fell.
Jack skated to where she was and picked her up again.
"You need help, Lemon?"
"Teach me how to skate, Jack."
Jack thought for a moment, as Liz was trying so hard to keep her balance.
"Okay. Hold onto my hand as we skate through the rink."
Liz held Jack's hand. She had to admit, she felt better now with Jack holding her. His hands were warm and he never fell, so she was in good hands (literally).
Jack slowly let go of Liz's hand.
"You're doing it, Liz! You're ice skating."
Liz looked behind her. Jack wasn't there. He was in front of her.
"I-I'm ice skating!"
After about a half hour of competition and Liz falling, but Jack there to catch her, they went back and untied there skates.
"You did good, Lemon. You did good."
