Pairing: Jack/Liz
Summary: Christmastime is here again.
A/N: The title is based on the movie Olivia Wilde's directing. 30 Rock needs to come back or this'll be the end of my Jack/Liz writing.
"Merry Christmas, Jack!" Liz yelled as she walked in his office.
Jack looked up from his papers. Impressive. Lemon was wearing a winter dress with a winter coat. No weird vests or sweaters or a bad haircut.
He stood up from his chair and grabbed something from his drawer.
"Merry Christmas, Lemon. What do you say we go open our presents in the writers room? It's more lively there."
Liz shrugged and agreed.
When they got to the room, everyone was waiting for them with presents in hand.
"Can we open our presents now?" Jenna asked.
Jack nodded.
Liz gave Jack her present to him.
"Go on. Open it," she said smiling.
Jack opened the present and found a box full of stuff.
"There's a picture of you and Liddy there, a coupon book made by me, a tie for you, and little tiny socks for Liddy."
"Lemon, this is wonderful. Thank you. I will read the coupon book later."
"Oh, about that."
Liz reached for the coupon book and ripped one page out.
"Free hug?" she asked, smiling.
Jack nodded and hugged her.
"There's some I left blank in there. That's for you to write whatever you want like 'Buy Lemon Food' or 'Let Lemon Babysit.' Stuff like that. Now, what's my present?"
Jack got down on one knee and held up his present to her.
Everyone stopped and turn to look at them.
"Whatcha doin' there, Jacky?"
"Just preparing."
Jack opened the present for her and asked her a question.
"Elizabeth Lemon, I would be the happiest man on Earth if you would...go to lunch with me and the crew."
Liz rolled her eyes.
"Say yes, Liz!" Jenna yelled.
Liz smirked.
"Fine. Let's go, everyone!"
Jack tore a page from the book. Two coupons already, he thought.
At the restaurant, everyone was talking really loud. They were all in line waiting for the waitress to give them their table.
"A party of eleven, sir?"
Jack nodded.
As soon as a table opened, they all grabbed their seats. Jenna and Jack both grabbed the same seat next to Liz, but Jack pushed Jenna out of the way.
Jenna frowned and sat in the middle of Danny and Kenneth instead.
"What's your problem, Jack?" Jenna asked him.
"Okay! Go get your food."
Everyone stood up to go, except Jack.
"Hey, aren't you gonna eat?" Liz asked him.
Jack shook his head.
"I'll go after everyone has. I need to tell the waiter what I want for a drink. It has to be exactly and precisely said or they'll get it wrong."
Liz chuckled.
"Whatever floats your boat, dude."
It took everyone two hours to eat until they were full. Three, for Liz.
"Whoo! I am full and drunk! Who wants to play Truth or Dare? I got the bottle right here!" Liz said.
Everyone agreed to play, so Liz spun the bottle to see who would go first. It landed on Danny.
"Danny! Truth or dare?" Liz asked him.
"Truth."
"If you're from Canada, why don't you have an accent?"
Jack scoffed.
"Lemon, you can't just ask people why they don't have an accent."
"I used to have an accent, Liz. Kenneth helped me get rid of it."
"Oh. That's nice."
Danny spun the bottle and it landed on Jenna. He sighed.
"Jenna--"
"Dare!" she yelled.
"Okay, um...go make out with a beer bottle."
Jenna gave him a disgusted look, but did what she was told anyway.
After she did, she spun the bottle and it landed on Jack. She had an evil smile on.
"Jack, truth or dare?"
"I will not share any of my secrets with you, so I will respectfully choose a dare."
Everyone "ooh"ed at Jack.
Jenna smirked.
"Give me a pen, Frank," she said.
She wrote something down on a napkin and told Jack to read it privately.
Jack's eyes widened as he read what Jenna had wrote.
"Alright, everyone. Let's continue this game at my office. It's Christmas after all."
"I'm watching you, Donaghy," Jenna said.
At Jack's office:
"So, what'd Jenna put on the napkin?" Frank asked.
"She told me to grab the beer bottle and play Seven Minutes in Heaven with whoever it stopped on."
"Well? Are you?" Jenna asked impatiently.
Jack sighed and put the bottle on the table and asked every girl in the whole building to gather around it.
There were pages, newscasters, janitors and writers there just hoping that the bottle would stop at them so they could kiss Jack Donaghy. Everyone, except Liz. She wasn't too thrilled. She just wanted to go home and eat a sandwich.
Jack spun the bottle and everything/everyone got silent. Liz was eating some leftover shrimp when she saw everyone staring at her.
"What's everyone staring at?" she asked them.
"Look at the bottle," one woman said.
She looked at the bottle and saw that it was pointing directly right at her.
"Is it pointing to the girl next to me?" she asked Jack.
Jack shook his head and told her to go with him to the bathroom.
All the ladies that went to his office sighed and left the room.
"Well, see you guys in seven minutes!" Jenna yelled as she shut the bathroom door.
"Go! Everyone go!" she whispered.
"You never take a dare from Jenna! Look what she got us into," Liz mumbled.
"Don't worry, Lemon. They're gone. See, I can just--"
Jack tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"Uh-oh," he said.
"Uh-oh? What do you mean by Uh-oh?!"
"It seems as if we're stuck here."
Liz's jaw dropped.
"Can't you call anyone?"
Jack shook his head.
"I left my phone out there in the office."
Liz groaned.
"How are we gonna get out of here?"
"I don't know, Lemon. I just don't know."
Liz sighed as she sat next to Jack in the bathtub, watching the news.
"This is going to be a long Christmas."
TBC
D'aaaw, this was a cute story. You have to continue it cause what happens in the bathroom then? Are they really only watching the news? Or will Jack write sth on the blank pages in the coupon book and use it right there? ;)
