Pairing: Jack/Liz
Summary: Fights bring out the worst in Jack. Especially if he's drunk.
This fic is based on Maroon 5's song- "Never Gonna Leave This Bed"
A/N: Some portions may be short, some may be long.
"Good god, I'm an idiot," Jack said, when he reached the hotel room. Liz had kicked him out that night since they had a fight. A really loud fight which turned to Liz slapping Jack and telling him never to come back until he turned back to the old version of himself, the one she loved. He had a perfect life, but he threw that all away.
It was a normal day. Jack woke up to the sound of Brooklyn, his daughter, yelling. He remembered the day she was born so clearly like it was yesterday.
(Liz was having contractions all week, so their doctor decided to get them to a doctor in Brooklyn. When they were on the way, Liz said the baby was coming out. Well, the trip to Brooklyn was just a few minutes away, but traffic started. Liz ended up giving birth in Jack's limo on a Brooklyn highway.
"It's a girl!" he yelled.
"How do you know?" Liz asked.
"I don't see anything."
"Brooklyn," Liz panted. "Name her Brooklyn. Brooklyn Elizabeth Donaghy. If it's a boy, name him Jack Donaghy Jr."
Jack smiled.
"It's beautiful."
When Liz woke up, she was in a hospital. She saw Jack holding a child. Their child.
"Oh, you're up," he said.
"Yeah," she said, smiling.
"Meet Brooklyn Elizabeth Donaghy. She's your daughter."
"Our daughter," Liz corrected him.
Jack chuckled.
"You know what's funny?" he asked.
"What?"
"Her initials are B-E-D. They spell bed."
"Well, that's where we made her," Liz joked.
"I'm glad to have a wife as perfect as you," he said, as he kissed her.
"Oh, shut up. I'm not perfect."
"You are to me.")
"Daddy! Wake up!" Brooklyn yelled.
Jack smiled.
"Lynn! How's my little princess?"
"Mommy made you breakfast! See, Mr. Moneybags agrees with me!" Lynn said, as she pointed to her stuffed fox, which Liz called Foxy Moneybags, since it reminded her of the PBS show she gets her information from.
Jack picked up Lynn and began to walk to the dining room.
He put Lynn down on her chair and sat down on his own. Liz came outside of the kitchen with a plate of bacon and eggs.
"Good morning," she said, giving him a kiss.
Jack smiled.
"Mommy! What do I get for breakfast?" Lynn asked.
"You already ate!" Liz said.
"But, Mommy! I'm always hungry!"
Jack laughed.
"She sounds just like you," he said.
"Uh-doyee, Jack. She's my daughter."
"You can't say uh-doyee to me in mixed company, Lemon. We have a child here."
"Uh-doyee, Lemon!" Lynn exclaimed.
"See, Liz?"
Liz scoffed then rolled her eyes.
"Fine. It's been a while since you called me Lemon, you know."
"Oh, I know. I just like to exercise my vocabulary every once in a while."
"How do you---never mind. Well, you better get going, honey. You have a meeting at 10, which means you have half an hour left."
"What about you? When are you going to work?"
"I'm going as soon as Lynn is ready. I told Pete that I might be running late anyway."
Jack finished his breakfast and got dressed.
"Need any help?" Liz asked him.
Jack shook his head.
"Daddy? Do you need Mr. Moneybags? He's a good negotiator! He'll probably help you with your synergy program thing!" Lynn said.
"Whoa there! Where'd you learn all those big words? That's too much for a four year old."
"Daddy taught me! He also told me about that one time when you guys were talking about product integration. It's funny how you didn't know."
"Wow! Your vocabulary is just getting bigger and bigger every day. You're gonna be super-smart once you go to school."
Jack came out of the room with his suit and tie.
"That was from five years ago, right?"
Jack laughed and turned to leave.
"I'll see you two later."
"Wait, Jack?" Liz called out.
Jack turned around.
"Wha--"
Liz gave him a kiss.
"I love you."
Jack smiled.
"And I love you too. What's wrong?"
"I'll talk about it later. Right now, you have a meeting."
Jack looked unsure.
"Are you sure you don't want to talk about it right now? They don't really care if any one is late."
"Yeah, I'm fine. Now, go! Be our businessman," she said with a smile.
"I love you guys," he said before leaving.
*
The business meeting had gone well, actually. After leaving the business room, he checked his phone. There was one missed call from Liz. Luckily, she left a voicemail.
"Lynn's not feeling too well. I know you're in a business meeting right now, but I would appreciate it if you can get to the hospital as soon as you can. Jack, she's really heating up. I have no one to talk to. So, I'll see you, I guess. I love you so, so much. You know that. Okay, bye."
Jack was getting suspicious. Liz was saying "I love you" a lot now. Not that it was a bad thing, but it just came out of the blue. And with Jack knowing Liz for more than 10 years, he knew something was up.
He went to the hospital as fast as he could.
"Donaghy, Brooklyn Elizabeth," he said to the person at the front desk.
"Are you the father?" the girl asked.
"Yes, I--"
"Jack," Liz said with a sad smile.
"Oh my god. Liz, is she okay?"
Jack went up and hugged her. She began crying.
"Here, let's go to her room so we can talk more, okay?"
Liz nodded.
Jack sat down in a chair with Liz on his lap.
"Okay, so talk to me. I want to know everything," Jack said.
He wiped away her tears.
"I feel like I'm not mom-material, Jack. Look at Lynn. I'm not even deserving of someone that perfect. She's just like you, Jack. Blue eyes, brown hair. She's like a carbon copy of you."
Jack chuckled.
"Lemon, she looks nothing like me. She just has my eyes and nose. She has your hair, curly and beautiful. She has your personality, care-free. She has your talents, writing and making people laugh. She's us, Liz. Me plus you...equals her."
"And a smiley face?" Liz asked smiling.
Jack kissed her.
"And a smiley face," he assured her.
"Mom? Dad? Is that you?"
"Lynn! You're up!"
Jack and Liz ran up to the bed.
"I think I'm feeling better," Lynn said.
"You sure, pumpkin?" Jack asked her.
"I'm sure. As long as you and mom are happy, I'm happy too."
"She's a fighter," the nurse said from outside.
"Excuse me?" Jack asked.
"I think I need to see you two outside for a minute."
"Um, okay," Liz said.
"We'll be back before you know it, pumpkin. Alright?" Jack told Lynn.
Lynn nodded.
Liz held Jack's hand as they went outside.
"What did you need us for?" Liz asked.
"Brooklyn...is amazing, Mister and Mrs. Donaghy. She had a fever of 110 degrees two hours ago, and now...she's normal. I've never seen anybody recover from a fever that fast."
Liz sighed.
"Oh, thank god," she said.
Jack laughed.
"Well, she truly has Donaghy blood in her. Us Donaghys, we don't get sick. At least, not for long anyways."
The nurse smiled.
"Well, you can have her out at eight. Here's the bill."
Jack and Liz went back to the room where they saw Lynn drawing something.
"What are you drawing, sweetie?" Liz asked her.
"I'm drawing a picture of us. See, look. I'm the one in the middle holding both of your hands."
"It's beautiful," Jack and Liz both said at the same time.
"You know what I think?" Lynn said.
"What?"
"I think you and Daddy are the cutest couple in the world."
Jack smiled and kissed her forehead.
"I think you got that right, Lynn. Now, do you want to go to work with Mommy and Daddy?"
Lynn's face lit up.
"Yes, please!"
Lynn went with Liz to the writers' room and Jack went back to his office. There, he saw Geiss and he didn't look happy.
"Jack, I need to talk to you," he said.
From the look on Jonathan's face, he could tell this wasn't going to be good.
*
"You get the toaster ovens now, Jack!" Geiss exclaimed.
Jack looked shocked. This was a celebratory meeting?
"For real, sir?"
Jack began crying.
"This is wonderful!" he said.
Geiss smiled and left.
For the rest of that day, he had a smile on his face.
*
Jack knocked on the door at midnight.
"Babe? Babe, where are you? Answer the door!" he said.
Liz opened the door.
"Well you're late," she said, laughing.
"Babe, guess what?" he said.
"You're drunk?" she joked.
"That and...?"
"You got promoted?"
Jack laughed.
"Babe, I got...the toaster ovens too," he said slowly.
Liz gasped.
"Seriously? That's awesome!" she said, before giving him a kiss.
"Hey. What do you say we...shake the bed a little tonight?" he asked.
"No, I'm tired, Jack. Maybe tomorrow."
Jack still kept kissing her.
"Jack, I said tomorrow."
Jack ignored her.
"I'm serious."
Jack kissed her neck.
Liz went to the kitchen.
"What's wrong, babe? Don't want any action tonight? Don't want any of this?" he asked.
"Jack, stop. I don't like you when you're drunk."
"Oh, yeah? You used to. Before Brooklyn came."
"Hey, you love Brooklyn and you know it."
"Well, you know what? I HATE HER. She won't let us have any goddamn sex. She wakes up in the middle of the night to just want to sleep in the middle of our bed. Whatever happened to the Liz I knew? The one who loved sex because I taught her?"
"Jack, cut it out. Now," Liz said, her voice getting louder than usual.
"What? It's not like anyone can hear us."
"Your daughter can hear us."
"Who the hell cares? What happened to you, Liz? I loved you."
Liz slapped him.
"Oh, really? Well if you don't love me anymore, then why don't you go get your fucking stuff and get out of this house right now!" Liz shouted.
"Oh, it's always me! Haven't you ever thought that maybe it was you? You're the one who's making everything harder for me! I had the perfect life. But that all changed because..."
"Because what, Jack? Huh? Because I came into your life? You're saying that those special things I did for you don't matter anymore? You're saying that after eleven years of friendship and five years of marriage, you just want to throw all that away?"
Jack didn't answer.
"I see. Well, if you--if you don't want this, then I'm gonna have to ask you to leave. When the old Jack comes back, give us a call. If not, you know where the lawyer's at."
Jack packed his stuff and turned to leave.
"Dad? Mom? What's going on? Why is Daddy leaving?"
"Stay away from him, Brooklyn. Jack's not himself tonight."
Jack closed the door.
Brooklyn ran in her room and found the picture she drew earlier and ripped it in half. She started crying. Turns out, she wasn't the only one crying in the house.
Liz went to the bedroom and changed her clothes. She started crying again when she found out she was wearing a Princeton shirt and one of his boxers.
"Goddamn it," Liz said.
*
"Goddamn it," Jack said as he entered the hotel room.
He screwed up everything. Is this how his life was going to end? Alone, with a child he's never going to see grow up?
"Good god, I'm an idiot," he said.
He grabbed his phone and called Liz. It went straight to voicemail.
He didn't even bother to leave a message. He decided to just sleep it off and hope that tomorrow morning would be better.
He called Liz as soon as he woke up. It went to voicemail.
"Liz? Oh, god. I'm an idiot and I know that. I'm sorry and I wish that you could forgive me. I'm sorry. I was drunk last night and it just came out. I didn't mean anything I said. I love you," he said.
All afternoon, he did nothing. He just waited. Waited and hoped for Liz to call back.
When the sun came down that evening, he decided to pack his stuff. He called for his limo to go back home.
He knocked on the door.
"Liz, I--"
Before Jack could say his apologies, Liz hugged him.
"I know," she whispered.
"You do?" he asked.
Liz nodded.
"God, I seem so desperate. But, it was a stupid fight, really. We were fighting about sex," she said, chuckling.
"I'm sorry if I overreacted. I was--"
"Drunk, I know. Lynn forgives you too. I know you didn't mean those things...right?"
Jack smiled, then kissed her.
"Of course not. I would never say those things about the two most important people in my life."
"Daddy?"
"Pumpkin, is that you?"
Lynn ran up to Jack and hugged him.
"Oh, I missed you guys. I can't handle a day without you two."
"So does that mean you and mommy aren't getting a divorce?" Lynn asked.
"Again with the vocabulary," Liz said.
"No, honey. No matter how much me and your mom fight, we'll always be happily married in the morning. Isn't that right, Liz?"
Liz nodded.
"Yay!" Lynn exclaimed.
*
"Liz?"
"No...cupcakes," Liz grumbled.
"Liz." Jack nudged her again.
Liz turned the lights on and faced Jack.
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry. I swear that I will never...ever walk away like that again."
Liz smiled.
"Okay, Jack."
"And I won't get too drunk."
Liz grinned.
"Are you trying to turn me on?"
"No, I was apologizing. Does apologizing turn you on?" Jack asked.
"Not unless it has Maroon 5's lyrics on it!"
Jack looked confused.
"Come on, Jack. You've listened to my iPod billions of times. You've never heard of them?"
Jack shook his head.
Liz sighed, then grabbed her iPod.
She gave Jack an earbud to listen with her.
"Here, just wait for the chorus."
Jack waited.
"Listen, here it is!" Liz said.
"Wake you up in the middle of the night to say, "I will never walk away again." I'm never gonna leave this bed," Liz sung.
"I've never heard of that song," Jack said.
"Psh. Liar. That was during our wedding."
"Well, I only had my mind on one thing that day."
Liz blushed.
"Alright, fun's over."
Liz turned off the lights.
"Now that I think of it, the song's coming back to me."
"Nope. You are not pretending you know the song just to get some."
"But I do! I just remembered it!"
"No you don't. If you do, then sing the chorus and part of the bridge."
Jack looked puzzled.
"Lemon, you know I don't sing."
"You sung at Gerhardt's party."
"That was an exception."
"Well, we're married. You love me, I love you. Just this once, please?"
Jack sighed.
"Wake you up in the middle of the night to say, "I will never walk away again." I'm never gonna leave this bed."
Liz clapped.
"Now sing part of the bridge."
"Take it, take it all, take all that I have."
Liz kissed him.
"Yeah, you're definitely getting some tonight."

Can't Fight A Love Like Theirs
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not mine...
Spoilers: "Black Light Attack!"
Word Count: 651 (precisely!)
Pairing: Jack/Liz, Danny/Liz
Summary: Danny wonders why he's never noticed it before.
Danny sat in the back while the rehearsals were going on. He wasn't in the sketch, so he just decided to watch. Events from the previous days gave him something to think about.
"I'm in love with Liz Lemon."
Those words repeated in his brain every single day ever since Jack told him. How could he not have noticed it before? Of course he did. I mean, he would've noticed, but when he asked Jenna if there was something going on between Jack and Liz, he just got more confused.
(After a long day of rehearsals, Danny walked in Jenna's dressing room.
"Jenna, can I ask you something?" he said.
"You already did."
"Um, okay. Is there anything going on between Jack and Liz?"
Jenna burst out laughing.
"You really don't know?" she said.
Danny shook his head.
"Well, here's the story. Four years ago, Jack became our new boss. He called Liz up to his office, but Pete just wanted to come along. See, if Pete hadn't been there, they could've been married by now. They went up to Jack's office and there were sparks flying--literally! They talked an talked about business and stuff and then Jack said Liz had the boldness of a much younger woman and that he liked her. Well, they were both staring into each other's eyes and I think something happened. But Pete had to butt in and say something about the show. So, they have a lot of fights, almost every week, but they go back to becoming best friends. Jack took her to this black tie event and chose out her dress. It was gorgeous, Danny. Liz told me that at the end of the night, it was as if he wanted to kiss her, but he reached for her necklace instead. You see? Sexual tension. Why?"
"So...they're not together?"
"No, silly."
"But, those things you said, it makes it sound like--"
"What? They were meant for each other? That's what I tell myself every day.")
He sees Jack and Liz entering the room. Jack's hand is at the small of Liz's back and they're laughing. Suddenly, Liz's face lights up.
"Really?" she yelled.
Jack nodded.
"Yes!" Liz said.
Liz smiled and hugged him.
If Danny didn't know them, he could've assumed that he just proposed.
The hug lasted a second longer than an appropriate hug.
Then, something clicked. It was as if they were in a movie.
Jack leaned in, Liz closed her eyes, and Danny couldn't believe it. Was he actually gonna kiss her?
But, no. Jack just leaned in to get an eyelash.
Danny went downstairs to see if he could hear better.
"Make a wish, Lemon," Jack said.
Liz closed her eyes and made a wish.
"So dinner tonight?" he asked.
Liz nodded.
"Well, that was exactly what I was wishing for you to say," Jack said.
"So, it's a dinner?" Liz asked.
"No, Lemon. It's a date," Jack corrected her.
"Date? But we aren't even--"
Then it happened. Jack leaned in and kissed her. Like, actually kissed her!
"Now we are," Jack said smiling.
Liz blushed.
"Wear something fancy tonight!" he yelled before leaving.
When Liz turned around, she had a smile on her face.
"Oh, hey Danny."
Danny smiled sadly at her.
Jack Donaghy won this time.

Midnight Plane to L.A.
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not mine...
Spoiler: None
Pairing: Jack/Liz
Summary: Jack gets relocated. To L.A. Liz doesn't know how to feel about this.
"Hey. You're home early," Liz said, as she saw Jack walk in the door at 7.
"There wasn't much to do today. Can I tell you something?" he asked.
"Um...yeah, what is it?"
"I think you should sit down."
Liz sat down, looking nervous. Damn it, she knew this wouldn't work! Tears began forming in her eyes, but she decided to stay strong for what ever he'd say. Perhaps what she was thinking was not what he was going to say at all.
Jack held her hand.
"Geiss relocated me," he said sadly.
Liz gasped.
"Where?"
"Los Angeles."
"Wha--Why?"
"He said that GE was flourishing here. But...he felt like it needed to take a break. So he's making Banks the new executive and relocating me to the GE building in LA...as VP."
Liz didn't know whether to be happy or devastated right now, so she just stayed silent.
"Liz," Jack started. "It's final. Even if I begged him to let me stay, it wouldn't do any good. It's really your decision now."
"H-h-h-how is it my decision?" she asked, her voice breaking.
"Well, you can choose to stay here and continue our relationship long-distance...or we can end it now and remain friends...or you can move to LA with me and continue our relationship there. It's your decision."
"Um. I need time to think," Liz said.
"I understand. Well, I'll be waiting. Where are you going to think?"
"I'm sure you'll be able to figure that out. I'll see you when you do," Liz said, smiling.
*
"Liz?"
Jenna looked confused. Liz never goes to her apartment unless something's up.
"Hey," was all Liz said when Jenna let her in.
"What's the matter?"
Liz sighed.
"Okay. So it's about Jack--"
"Oh, hang on."
Jenna grabbed her phone from the table.
"Why are you getting your phone?" Liz asked.
Jenna showed her a text from Jack.
"Lemon is there. Tell her I love her," was the text Jack sent to Jenna a few minutes ago.
"Go with him."
"But what about you guys?"
Jenna smiled.
"Liz, I'm glad you care for us and everything, but you don't need to babysit us anymore. If it'll make you happy, the cast and crew of TGS will go to LA next hiatus."
Liz hugged Jenna and began to cry.
"I just don't want him to leave me, you know?"
"Look, I may not have dated Jack, but I do know that he's dated a lot of women. But you're better than all those women. You wanna know why? It's because you care for him. You've known him for the past six years. Jack may not be the nicest guy on the planet, but I do know that he can he a forever-sort-of-guy."
Liz sniffled.
"Thanks, Jenna. Can I stay here? I told Jack I wouldn't be coming back to the apartment until tomorrow morning."
"Um...yeah, sure. Make yourself at home. If you see anything that looks like tanning oil in the bathroom, don't use it...cuz it's not!"
Liz gave her a disgusted look.
"What? It's for emergencies!" Jenna explained.
"And the old Jenna's back."
After Liz got herself ready to go to bed, she used Jenna's laptop to go on Facebook. Hey, it's been six months since she was last there and all she posts about is food anyway. Jack, on the other hand, is always online. He even downloaded a Facebook app. What is he, twelve? She logged in and noticed that Jack was online. She decided to ignore that fact.
"Chocolate-chip cookies and milk are given to me now, since I'll kick Santa's ass if he doesn't give me any," she posted on Facebook.
"AHAHAHA! Nice one, LL!" Tracy commented.
Just then, she got a chat message from Jack.
Conversation with Jack Donaghy:
Jack: Hello.
Liz: Hi.
Jack: Have you given any consideration about what I said earlier?
Liz: Yup.
Jack: Aaaaand...?
Liz: I'm gonna tell you tomorrow. I promise I'll be there tomorrow morning. Stay strong, Jack!
Jack:
Liz: Aw, is poor Jacky sad? Awww.
Liz: I know something that'll cheer you up!
Jack: Which is...?
Liz: Sex and awesomeness. I'll see you tomorrow.
Jack: Oh, ho ho. Liz Lemon, it is on.
Liz: Like you are right now? Hehe. Goodnight.
Jack: Can you go here? Now? Please?
Liz: Well....
Jack: I'll buy you cheesecake all week.
Liz: Alright, you got me. I'll be there in--
Jack: My limo's outside. Haha!
Liz: You bastard! You knew I was going to say yes?!
Jack: Just get down here already.
Liz: Okay, okay.

END CONVERSATION
Liz went to check on Jenna who was watching TV.
"I gotta go!!!" Liz said.
"Yeah, have sex with Jack. Have fun."
Jenna seemed pretty focused on the tv.
"What are you watching anyway?" Liz asked.
"Tron. I'm waiting for the sex scene between that cute guy and Olivia Wilde."
"Alrighty, then."
Jenna chuckled.
"You sounded like Sarah Palin for a second."
"LEMON OUT!"
*
Liz went outside and she did see Jack's limo. She ran to open the door and as soon as she closed it and went in, she jumped on Jack's lap and kissed him.
"Well, you're excited. What have you decided?" Jack said.
"Um...I've decided that I'm going with you."
"And Jenna's okay with that?"
"Yeah. She said she was gonna visit us during the summer."
"That's wonderful," Jack simply said, kissing down her neck.
"And I also wanted to turn in a job application in LA."
"Are you going to be a writer for their hit show?" he asked, looking up at her.
"Noo..I'm applying to be your assistant."
Jack grinned devilishly.
"Well, let's have your job interview now, shall we?"
Oh, so this is how it's going.
"Yes, sir," Liz said, as she bit her lip.
This job interview was going to be the best.
*
"Nice to meet you, my new assistant."
Liz grinned.
"Wait, I have a question. Will I still get paid?"
Jack burst out laughing.
"Liz, darling. You don't have to worry about having an actual job if your boyfriend/boss is the fourth richest man in the world. He was also the world's most eligible bachelor a few years ago, but he's off that list because he's got a sexy one right next to him."
Liz blushed.
"Jack, you're making me blush."
"Now, don't make a Jean Grey reference. You're much too pretty for that."
"How did you--?" *gasp* "Did you watch the X-Men trilogy just for me?"
"And X-Men: Origins. I was going to watch First Class, but I was waiting until tomorrow, so I could watch it with you."
Liz hugged him.
"You're a nerd!!!! Oh my god, I love you!"
Jack smiled.
"I know. And I'm proud because I love you too."
*
"Goodbye, office," Liz said rather sadly. Her old office was clean. There was just the desk and nothing else. She'll miss this room for sure. It was like home to her.
"Liz Lemon. You didn't tell any of us you were leaving," Tracy said, having the whole crew behind him.
"I'm sorry, guys. It was all rushed. I'm gonna miss you guys. Jack already relocated his stuff to LA and I have a flight in about 4 hours. I love you guys and I'll never forget you," Liz said, tears starting to form in her eyes.
Danny went up to her and hugged her.
"Danny. I'm gonna miss you a lot."
"Does that mean I can be called Jack now? Since he's leaving..."
Liz nodded and smiled a sad smile.
"You can do whatever you want."
Liz turned around to see the crew still looking at her.
"BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, you guys. Devon Banks is going to be the new Executive of GE. Mess with him. He's just gonna love all of you. Toofer will be the new head writer."
Tracy, Jenna and Kenneth went up to give her a group hug.
"We'll make sure to visit you and Jack," Jenna said.
Liz smiled.
"Thanks, you guys. I'll miss you all. Stay away from Devon, Kenneth. Even though he's married, you know how he is."
"Yes, Miss Lemon. I sure hope that you and Mister Donaghy will be happy together."
Tears started to form in Liz's eyes.
"Thank you, Kenneth. That means a lot to both of us. I'll tell Jack you send us best wishes."
And after that, she was gone. Goodbye, New York. Goodbye, TGS. Goodbye, writing.
*
It had been almost a year since Liz left New York. Kenneth was right. Everything did turn out the best for her and Jack.
Jack got promoted to being the executive of the GE building in LA and Liz stayed as his assistant, but she was working on her new book. They got married a little over a month ago, but decided to keep it secret.
"One year, huh?" Jack said one night.
"What do you mean?"
"It's been one year since we left New York."
"Has it really? Oh my god."
Jack laughed.
"You know, I--"
Before Jack could finish his sentence, there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," Liz said.
When she opened the door, a blond woman hugged her.
"Jenna?!" Liz said.
It was Jenna.
"Oh my gosh, how are you?!" Liz asked.
"I'm great! And you're...oh wow. That's huge, Liz."
Liz smiled.
"Just a few more months and you're gonna be an aunt!" she exclaimed.
Jenna squealed and hugged Jack.
"You are amazing, Jack. I've always wanted to be called Auntie Jenna! Thank you for having sex with my best friend and getting her pregnant. Well done, sir."
Jack looked uncomfortable.
"Uh...thank you, Jenna. I appreciate that."
"What are you guys gonna name the baby?!" she asked.
"Well, we're gonna decide it when the baby comes out. I don't want to know the sex of the baby yet, so..."
"You gotta find out, Liz! Please? I mean, if it's a guy, wouldn't Jack want to know so he can teach him little business stuff? And then when he's one, he can be wearing a suit and tie just like Jack's...not wearing right now. Wow. You look hot with casual."
Jack grinned.
"Thank you, Jenna," he said.
"Hey, hands off, Jenna. He's mine."
"Well, not technically. You guys aren't--"
Liz showed Jenna her wedding ring.
"Never mind," she said quickly.
"What are you doing in town?" Liz asked.
"Oh, nothing. Just visiting you guys. What time is it? Oh, it's ten already. Well, I should go...I don't want to be interrupting anything right now, especially with Liz's crazy hormones. How are they treating you, Jack?"
Jack smiled and rolled his eyes.
"Goodbye, Jenna. We'll see you tomorrow. You'll be here all week, right?" Jack asked.
"Of course. It's summer and my new boyfriend's here. Did you know that--"
"Bye, Jenna! Thanks for coming over!" Liz said, as she slammed the door.
"OMG, I thought she'd never leave," Jack said, before kissing her.

Pairing: Jack/Liz
Summary: The mothers observe. This is the most recent installment of that one series where Liz gets injured. Enjoy!
"Hello, mother," Jack said.
"This is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful!" Colleen exclaimed.
"Hey, Jack. I better go. The writers are getting pretty loud down there. Um, nice seeing you again, Colleen."
After Liz closed the door, Colleen kept smiling at Jack.
"What do you want, Colleen?"
"When are you gonna propose to her, Jacky boy?"
Jack spit his drink out.
"Excuse me?"
"Propose. You know, the thing you've done to many women in the past."
"Mother, Liz and I just started dating."
"Would you call 7 months just starting?"
"Actually, yes."
"How? You've proposed to women you've barely even known a month!"
Jack stood up from his chair.
"Liz is different, mother!"
"How so?"
"Are you on my side or what?"
"I didn't notice there were any sides."
Jack sighed, then sat back down.
"Liz...she makes me feel happy. Makes me feel complete. She knows everything about me and I'm comfortable around her. She's beautiful. I think I've actually found the one."
Colleen smiled.
"Okay. I'm not gonna force you into marrying her or scold you for having sex before marriage. You wanna know why? Two reasons. I did that...and because Liz is a good person. I know she won't leave you, Jack. You're right. She probably is the one for you. I'm not even gonna nag you or whatever. I'll stay away and only visit you on holidays...unless Liz calls."
Jack hugged Colleen.
"Thank you."
"I think you've finally got it, Jacky," she said, before leaving.
"Jonathan?" Jack called out.
"Yes, sir?"
"Can you please get Margaret and Dick Lemon on the phone, please?"
"Right away, sir."
*
Margaret gasped.
"You're dating my Lizzie?" she asked.
"I hope that's not a bad thing...but yes, I am."
"No, no! It's not a bad thing at all! Why, I was just talking to Liz earlier and I invited her to go here on Friday! Would you be interested in joining us?"
"Why, of course. Anything for you, Margaret."
"Liz sure picked a good gentleman. Well, I suppose I should go. You're taking care of business stuff, so I'll see you two on Friday."
Jack hung up the phone and went back to work.
*
Coming close to midnight, Liz went to his office. She went behind his desk and put her arms around him.
"Hey. Don't work late. Come on, let's go home."
Jack kissed her and rubbed his eyes.
"I have to finish this. It's something for tomorrow."
"Is it really more important than me?" Liz asked, with her cute face.
Jack turned his light off, put his papers in a folder, stored them in his desk, and stood up.
"Shall we?" he asked, smiling.
Liz's eyes were starting to close.
"I'll carry you," Jack said.
"No, it's fine. I'll just--Oh!"
"Hang on to me."
Jack carried her and went for the elevator. When they reached the lobby, he put her down in one of the couches and went to the reception desk.
"Hey, Lenny. Can you do me a favor?" Jack asked the receptionist.
"Sure thing, Mister Donaghy. What will it be?"
Jack looked at Liz.
"Can you book us a flight to Hawaii?"
*
When Liz woke up, she was in a hotel. She knew it couldn't be her apartment...or Jack's.
"Jack?" she called out.
No reply.
"Jack? Honey?" she called out again.
"I'm in here!" Jack said, sticking his head out of the restroom with a toothbrush in his mouth.
Liz went to the restroom and gave him a hug.
"Hi," she said.
Jack waved at her and smiled.
"Where are we?"
"I think you should take a look outside."
Liz went out of the restroom and into the balcony. She gasped.
"HAWAII?!"
"You like it?" Jack hollered.
"I love it! But what about work?"
"Eh. Pete's got it handled. We're only going to be staying here for two days since we have a flight to Whitehaven, Pennsylvania Wednesday night."
"How did you--"
"I called Margaret yesterday. You know, to tell her about us."
Liz sighed.
"So what should we do?" she asked him.
"Get out your swimsuit. We're going swimming."
"But I don't have a--"
"Check your suitcase."
Liz gasped as she saw what Jack had bought for her.
*
So, there was no one at the beach. Her leg was okay and everything seemed to be looking pretty good. This was her time to try something. When she got in the water, she took her swimsuit off and put them in her bag. She waited for Jack to get in the water.
"Why are you all the way back there at the deep end?" Jack asked.
"Take your shorts off!" she hollered.
"Take my..? Why?"
"Just do it! It'll be fun!"
Jack took his shorts off and swam to where Liz was.
Liz put her arms around him and kissed him.
"Skinny dipping," she said, smiling.
Jack gasped, his eyes widening.
"My, my, Elizabeth! I did not know you were one to approve for such events like this!" Jack exclaimed.
"Let's do it...here. In the water," she told him.
Jack kissed her.
"I love you," he told her.
Liz looked at him.
"I'm sorry. Too soon?" he asked her.
"No, no. I was just surprised that you said it first. I love you too, Jack. A lot."
"Which is why we're doing this right now, yes?"
Liz nodded.
"Good. I love you more than anything in this world."
"More than business? More than family?"
"Of course. You're my lover."
"You know it," she said, before kissing him.
*
When they got back to shore and put their swimsuits back on, Liz sat in one of the beach chairs. She took out her iPod and began listening to music while she was getting a tan. Her shades were on, she was drinking a piña colada in one hand and she was holding Jack's hand in the other. Meanwhile, Jack was doing the complete opposite. He was reading some book about politics and had the shaded area, since he already got an artificial tan before they got here.
"Liz Lemon?" a man said.
Liz put her piña colada down and looked at the man.
"It's me, Andrew Baird!"
"Oh my god, Drew?"
"Yeah!"
Liz stood up and hugged him.
"How are you?" he asked her.
"I'm great! What about you?"
"Same. Hey, what are you doing here in Hawaii anyway?"
"Just getting some R & R. You?"
"Vacation. Wow, you look great! Would you like to have a drink later?"
Before Liz could answer, Jack was already next to her.
"My God. Jack Donaghy, is that you?"
Jack smiled and shook his hand.
"What are you doing here?" Drew asked him.
"Oh, I'm actually here with my girlfriend," he said, pointing to Liz.
"You guys are together? Ah, I see. Well, congrats, Jack. You picked a good girl. I'll see you two later."
When they sat back down, Liz's stomach began to rumble.
"Let's go get some food," she said.
*
They went back to their hotel room and got dressed. Liz wore a casual dress, while Jack wore his tux.
"We look good," Liz said, looking at both of them in the mirror.
When they got to the restaurant, Liz was surprised at how it looked just like a restaurant in New York.
"This place is amazing! What's it called?" Liz asked him.
"Plunder. They have it in all 50 states, including Puerto Rico."
They ate, talked and laughed for at least an hour and a half.
"Oh my God, I remember that! Yeah, it was so--Oh, hang on. My phone's ringing."
Liz took the call.
"Jenna?"
"Hey, it's Jenna."
"Yeah, I know. Why'd you call?"
"Oh, I just wanted to see how you and Jack were doing in Hawaii."
"We're doing completely fine, Jenna. Okay, bye."
"Oh, am I interrupting something? Are you and Jack having sex right now? Is it awesome, mind-blowing sex?"
"Jenna!" Liz yelled, but not too loudly so that the whole restaurant would look at her.
"But seriously, though. How's the sex?"
"Lots. Tons. Mind-blowing. The best. Okay, now I gotta go. Jack says hi. Okay, bye."
Liz cleared her throat and ate her food.
"Jack? Is that you?" a woman said.
Jack turned to look at the woman.
"C.C.? Good God! How the hell are ya?" he asked.
"I'm doing well. How are you?"
"Oh, I'm here with my girlfriend. Liz Lemon, remember her?"
"You and her?" she asked him.
Jack nodded.
C.C. smiled.
"That's really awesome. Liz, it was nice seeing you. Well, I should go. Orange babies to see."
When Jack sat back down, Liz was picking on her food.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, reaching for her hand.
"What? Oh, nothing. I just kinda miss...home. As much as I love this and all, I still miss the crazy hectics of my work life."
Jack sighed.
"I was waiting for you to say that. So, Whitehaven or New York?"
"Hang on. Are you mad?"
"No, I'm relieved. I can't handle vacations, either."
"Then why'd we go here in the first place?"
Jack laughed.
"Honestly?"
Liz nodded.
"For sex. I mean, it's pretty quiet in here, don't you think? And so you could relax and all."
Liz slapped him playfully on the arm.
"You used Hawaii for sex? With me?! Come on, Jack. I'm not that great."
"I beg to differ."
"I'm not the greatest sex person in the world! I can't do all those...tricks."
"That is true, yes. But, in this sexual situation, I'm still the mentor and you are the mentee. Why, just earlier, you initiated sex when I didn't even ask. You're learning."
"Now do you want to initiate sex...on a plane?"
"Let's go get your suitcases, shall we?" Jack said.
Liz laughed.
"Why must you always be so horny?" she asked.
"Have you looked in the mirror today?"
Liz blushed.
*
"Jack, you know we can't have sex in my parents' house."
Jack turned to look at her.
"Excuse me?"
"I wasn't the type of girl who had sex in her room when her parents were gone. It'd be kind of like sneaking cocaine in there. I just...I'm not used to doing that."
Jack sighed.
"Let's put your condoms away, okay? Please. For me?"
Jack was silent.
"How horny are you anyway?"
"Very."
"Well, you'll just have to settle for cuddling. I'm sorry. Maybe when we get back, okay?"
Jack nodded, but in his head, he planned something else.
*
Jack had to admit, the weekend with the Lemon family wasn't so bad. It was calming, actually. The only thing that Jack disapproved of was the "no sex" rule Liz made up.
Who makes that kind of rule?
Doesn't everyone love to have sex? Especially with a man as talented as him?
After one long night of total bonding, Liz went to her room and followed. Once he entered, he locked the door. Liz was pretty tired, so he figured he could give her a massage, tell her soothing things, and see how it goes from there.
Liz got dressed, and laid down on the bed. Jack told her to get up.
"Why? I'm tired, Jack."
"I want to give you a massage. You had a busy day today."
Liz smiled, then nodded.
Jack massaged her shoulders for a little while.
"Do you think I'm a bad writer?" she asked him.
"No, Liz. You're one of the only talented writers in New York City."
Liz chuckled. After taking his hands off her shoulders, Jack kissed her neck.
"Jack, I--"
"I know. Tired. This is going to be really quick, promise."
"Pinky promise?" Liz said, holding out her pinky.
Jack hesitated at first, but did so anyway.
"You're the best. If I fall asleep, then we could just cuddle."
"I appreciate that, Lemon. But I want you to stay awake the whole time."
"But we--"
"Just do the best you can."
Liz snorted.
"You sound like my second grade teacher."
Jack signaled her to shush.
"Oh, that feels good."
*
The next morning, Liz was fixing the bed and making her room nice and tidy. Jack came out of the restroom with a smile on his face.
"What?" Liz asked.
"You're beautiful."
Liz laughed.
"Thanks."
She gave him a quick kiss before going to the kitchen to fix breakfast.
"Liz! You're up early," Margaret said.
"This is our last day here. We...well, I, wanted to cook breakfast for you guys."
"Where's Jack?"
"Oh, he's in the room getting dressed."
Liz tried to act cool and calm to not give away the fact that her and Jack had sex last night (and this morning in the shower).
Margaret left the kitchen and Liz grabbed the ingredients to a perfect breakfast.
Liz was mixing when Jack came up behind her and kissed her cheek.
"What you got there?" he asked.
"An omelet."
"Any significance?" Jack asked, grinning.
"You ask so many questions. This is actually for you. Remember after that first night we had sex? The next morning, you gave me an omelet, so...there's the significance."
"What are you going to cook for your parents?"
"Toaster waffles."
Jack burst out laughing.
"You're going to give me, your boyfriend, the better breakfast?"
"They're not gonna care, Jack. Besides, they think everything I do is special."
*
After breakfast, Liz was sitting in the living room watching TV with Jack.
"Liz? Can you help me with these pancakes?" Margaret asked.
"Oh, um...sure, mom. I thought you finished."
"Oh, I did. I just wanted to eat some more."
Liz put the butter and syrup on the pancakes, then Margaret gave her something.
"Oh, I think this is Jack's," Margaret said, giving Liz something she didn't want her mother seeing.
"Um...I'll make sure to give this to him."
Liz went back to the living room and signaled Jack to go to the restroom.
"What?" he asked.
Liz gave him the condom wrapper.
"There's nothing in here."
"Well, duh! That's the one from last night, you moron! My mom saw it!"
Jack laughed.
"What is so funny?!" she asked him.
"You're guilty!"
"Yeah. So?"
"Liz, listen to me. You're a grown woman. You're not always going to be their little girl. They knew this was coming, so get over yourself."
Liz took a deep breath.
"Why do you have to be so handsome?" Liz said before kissing him.
*
"New York! HOME!!! Finally!" Liz screamed, as she walked in Jack's (their) apartment.
Jack kissed her.
"Now?" Liz asked.
"No one can see us now. It's not like Margaret is here."
"Can we do this later? Please? I just want to sit down on the couch for a second."
Jack followed her to the couch.
After a few hours of sitting and watching movies, Liz fell asleep. It was about 10 at night when Jack woke her up.
"Wha--why? Oh, hi Jack."
Jack smiled.
"Hey, Lemon."
Liz laughed.
"It's been a while since you called me Lemon. What's up?"
"Well, this isn't exactly how I planned on doing this, but I feel like I should."
Jack pulled out a small box.
Liz's eyes widened.
"Marry me, Elizabeth?"
"Hm...give me reasons. It's only been seven months after all."
Jack was startled. He didn't know that he was supposed to have a speech prepared. He knew that his words would affect both their lives, so he decided to make them count.
"Elizabeth, I know we've only been seeing each other for seven months, but we've been friends for six long years. The day I saw you, I knew there were sparks flying...literally. A piece of cement fell on your head and it was a magical moment. I have dated other women in the past, but if it weren't for you, I would've been divorced ten times already. Remember that night after Gerhardt's party? I was going to kiss you. But I respected you, so I didn't. I've always loved you. Those women were just a distraction so I could fill the void in my heart. You make me laugh. You enjoy the tiniest things I do for you. Your whole face lights up whenever someone mentions my name. I'm glad that I get to see your face every day. I couldn't imagine a day without you. You are the best part of my day, Liz. This is probably the best seven months of my life. Actually, the best six years. So, I ask you again: Will you marry me, Elizabeth?"
Liz hugged Jack.
"Of course."
Jack smiled.
"Really? Good, because I didn't have my "no" speech planned."
Liz laughed.
"You thought I was going to say no to your adorable face?"
Liz kissed Jack, and from outside the window, Colleen said,
"Mother knows best! I knew you could do it, Jacky! I knew you--"
Liz closed the window.
"Grandchildren Avenue!" Colleen yelled.

Jack had been coming to Liz's very often now.
It had been one of their children's party and Jack decided to come. Liz introduced him to Michael, a man she was sorta seeing.
Jack took her to the restroom.
"Why didn't you tell me about him?" he whispered.
"I was...but you ditched me for Avery that one night, remember?"
"I said I'm sorry. Now, do you wanna smoke this joint?"
Liz gasped.
"Oh my god! How did you--?"
"Shh!!!"
*
Liz didn't know who to choose. Michael was the nicest guy she'd ever met. Jack was her ex-husband who still loved her and cared for her and knew everything about her. Jack definitely won that time, but there was always one thing that prevented her from not letting him win that easily: He cheated on her and he broke her heart.
*
One night when Michael was away, they were on Skype having a video chat. Liz had to go to the restroom, so she told Michael. Michael was looking for some clothes to wear the next day.
Jack wanted to surprise Liz by sitting naked on her bed. He was in pose and everything and he moved the laptop to where it was just right.
Liz came out of the restroom and shrieked when she saw him. Michael turned around and saw what he didn't need to see.
Jack realized that Michael was on Skype, so he turned around and grabbed his boxers, except that Michael got a pretty good view of his rear end.
Jack put his robe on, but their kids were in the room.
Liz picked up her laptop and set it on the table.
"What's going on here?" Michael asked.
"Yeah, mom. What is?"
"I, um...your father and I were having an affair. Together. With each other."
One of her children started crying.
"Honey, why are you crying?"
"Are--are you and dad back together now?"
"Yeah, Liz. Are we?" Jack asked.
Liz took one last look at her family.
"No," she whispered.
Michael logged off. Her kids left. Jack left. She was all alone now. Just her and her thoughts.
*
Liz found her kids crying in one of the bedrooms.
"Are you and Dad okay now?" one of them asked.
"I don't know," she said. "It'll all get better soon. I promise."
*
It took some time, but eventually, Michael forgave her. He was building something for her house when he decided that his workers and him should get some lunch. Liz prepared something for them and stayed outside. She went to sit in the swing she had in the front yard to think. Suddenly, someone sat next to her.
"I'm sorry," they whispered.
She didn't even have to look up. It was Jack.
She smiled sadly.
"It's alright, Jacky."
She hugged him one last time. They talked for hours and hours. Finally, Jack had to leave.
"I'll see you around, Lizzy," Jack said.
Suddenly, tears rolled down her cheeks. Liz ran after him and hugged him.
"No, don't go. Please."
She heard sniffling. Apparently Jack was crying as well.
"What are we gonna do?" she asked.
"We can start all over. Date. Get married."
"You'd do that for me?" Liz asked, more tears rolling down.
"I'd do anything for you."
"Okay," she whispered before kissing him.

Beef or Chicken?

Pairing: Jack/Liz
Summary: Jack's drunk. And horny.
Someone knocked on Liz's door. Liz could barely hear it since Top Chef was on.
The knock grew louder.
Liz still couldn't hear it.
Finally, the knocking grew to pounding.
"What the--? At midnight?"
Liz opened the door, but saw no one outside.
"Those teenagers," she said, as she rolled her eyes.
When she was about to close the door, a hand grabbed onto her leg.
"Lemon," Jack said, slurring.
"Jack? What are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you about something."
"Um, okay. Would you like to--okay."
Jack got up and closed the door.
"Do you want some food?"
Jack shook his head.
"Something to drink?"
He shook his head again.
"Anything?"
Jack sighed.
"Lemon, what I need right now...is to talk to you."
Jack started leaning in closer.
"Is this about that one sketch? Look, I..Jenna wouldn't play the part, so--"
"What do you say we make out first, huh? That always solves my problems."
Liz backed away and chuckled.
"Hah, as much as I know you want that, I think I'm gonna pass on this one, buddy."
"Why not? Do you not think I'm handsome? Do you not think I'm a good kisser? Ask any women of power in the country. They'll tell you about me."
"All good, I hope," Liz muttered.
"Just one kiss?" Jack asked.
"You're drunk."
"Just a little."
Jack's stomach started to rumble.
"Puke or Hunger?"
Jack started to gag.
"Both, he whispered, before going to the restroom.
"Oh don't use my...towel."
"Sorry."
"No, you're fine. I'll fix you some noodles, okay?"
Jack nodded.
"Beef or Chicken?" Liz asked.
"Beef is manlier," Jack stated.
Liz laughed.
"Only you, Jack. Only you."
When the noodles were ready, Liz set up two plates on her table and gave the noodles to Jack.
"Want some?" he asked.
"Nah, I'm good."
"Then why'd you get a plate?"
"To write down the ingredients for this one recipe on the Food network. See, if it's on something I'll use to eat, it'll help me remember better."
"Hmm. That's actually a good idea. With our mutual stress-eating habits, I think that could help me as well."
Liz chuckled softly.
"Well, the night is young, isn't it?, Donaghy?"
"Why, yes. Yes it is, my dear Lemon."
"You're drunk."
"Everything's funner when you are."
"See, you're even using words that I only use."
"I have an idea," Jack said.
"Oh, boy. What is it?"
"Maybe I'm your type of person you get along with when I'm drunk. So, I should keep drinking while you just stay sober because in a matter of minutes, I'll be just like you."
A big smile was on Liz's face.
"Let's do this, big guy."
See grabbed wine from her cabinet.
"CHUG IT!" she yelled.
Half of her wine bottles were gone in an hour. Pretty soon, Liz started drinking too.
"Alright, Liz! Yeah, keep drinking! "Drink it, drink it, drink it," Jack kept chanting.
Liz took a deep breath.
"Yeah!" she said, as she gave him a high-five.
They both sat on the couch.
"Now can you kiss me?" Jack asked.
Without hesitating, Liz did. Things started to heat up after that. What's the worst that could happen?
*
The morning sun pierced through Liz's eyes.
She slept with Jack.
Yeah, she remembered.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Jack said, with a smile. He was lying down next to her, his hair all messed up, and he had that early morning voice.
"Hey. Did we get drunk last night?"
"Only a little. I asked our driver to take us home to see Liddy, but then we drank, so we stayed here. Sherry was with her anyway."
Liz groaned.
"I don't remember anything besides last night."
"Isn't that all you need to remember, darling?" Jack asked.
Liz looked at him.
"I'm serious."
Jack sighed.
"Alright. What's your name?"
"Elizabeth Lemon."
"Where do you live?"
"Your apartment and mine...I'm finishing up on moving the stuff, though."
"How long have we been seeing each other?"
"Ummmmm....almost seven months?"
Jack smiled.
"You still remember everything," he said, before planting a kiss on her forehead.
"Wait!!! Where are you going?"
"We're taking a stroll in the park. I'm getting dressed for Saturday. Get your clothes and then we can get Liddy."
"Help me up?" she asked.
Jack nodded.
"Wait..! Blanket!"
"Oh, please. I've seen you naked lots of times...it doesn't really matter. Plus, you're beautiful."
"No insults right now. It's Saturday morning...oh, thank you! Sorry. You usually insult me--"
Jack stopped her sentence by kissing her.
"That was eight months ago. No more insults. That was a compliment earlier, by the way."
Liz smiled.
"Yeah, whatever."
Jack went to the kitchen.
"You're the best boyfriend ever, Jack!" Liz yelled.
"And you're the best girlfriend ever!" he yelled back.
Liz smiled and put her clothes on.
