Pairing: Jack/Liz, Jack/Avery
Summary: Jack explains to Liz about where Avery is. (Follow-up to "Liz, the babysitter")
"Avery is, um, well, how do I put it?"
"Well? She's what?! Spit it out!"
"She's dead."
"She's what?!" she screamed.
"She's dead. There was something going on in Greece and apparently someone shot her. And there's another thing."
"What?!"
"The baby's not mine, so we can't keep her."
Liz looked like she was the one that had been shot.
"Are you kidding me?! This baby is literally like my own child! And probably my only!"
"Look, we can try you for adoption."
"No, that won't work."
"Alright. Artificial--"
"Nope! I know what you're about to say and I'm not giving you permission to use artificial insemination for me."
"Well, you want a child, don't you?"
"Well, duh."
"There's only one option left."
"And that is...?"
"The old-fashioned way."
"What, you mean like have sex? What are you talking about? That's ridiculous. Are you drunk? I think you are. Now can we go?"
"Liz! Stop talking! You're taking all the oxygen in this room."
"Sorry," she said, sitting back down on the couch with Baby Liz still in her arms.
"You talk fast when you're hiding something or when you're nervous. Tell me, Lemon. What are you trying to hide from me?"
"Damn it, how do you know how I'm feeling?!"
"Feeling tense? I don't know. I can just read you like that."
"No, not feeling tense, dummy--"
"Ah, I prefer you not calling me dummy because that reminds me of--"
"Yeah, that goddamn Dennis. As I was saying, not feeling tense, but FEELINGS!"
"Like...?"
"Oh, stop being such an ass, Jack! Or you know what? Stop being such a jackass, Jack!"
Liz giggled at her statement even if she was trying to be serious.
"What? That you have feelings for me?" Jack replied.
Liz chuckled nervously.
"Haha, oh look, Baby Liz needs a new diaper. Bye, Jack! I'll see you at home!"
Liz ran out the door in a dash, leaving Jack to make his own conclusions.

Never Let Me Go
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not mine..
Spoilers: "Hiatus"
Pairing: Jack/Liz
Summary: I can't give you the summary. Sorry!
Jack had been in the hospital for weeks now. The reason? Well, one night, Jack arrived late from work and Avery was at home, with an angry look on her face. She started yelling at Jack, and Jack had no choice but to fight back. Their voices kept getting louder and louder, and the baby's cries as well.
"What the hell, you guys?!" Liz shouted, as she closed the door of Liddy's room.
Liz had been the babysitter of Liddy that night, and when she heard all this noise, she couldn't take it anymore.
"Why are you always home late? You're NEVER home, Jack!"
"You know what? You're the one who always has to travel! I'm the one having to pay all these babysitters!"
"Why am I even having this conversation with you?! If you can't handle this--"
"Oh, I, JACK DONAGHY, CAN'T handle this? I'm her parent! The one who's there for her 95% of the time! The closest she can get to a mother is Liz right here, since she's the one taking care of her!"
It was silent. Avery started yelling again, while Jack was trying to catch his breath.
"AVERY, JACK! PLEASE! LET YOUR DAUGHTER GO TO SLEEP!" Liz finally yelled.
"Lemon, take Liddy to your house tonight, please." Jack said, out of breath.
Liz got her stuff and Liddy, and turned to the door.
"JACK! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!"
Jack collapsed on the floor. Liz quickly put the crying baby on the couch and went to Jack.
"Jack? Jack?! Damn it, Avery! He's having a heart attack!"
She quickly called for an ambulance.
"Liz, what happened to my son?" Colleen asked.
"I-I-I don't know why this happened. Avery gave him a heart--I mean, a cardiac arrest."
"A heart attack?!"
Liz barely nodded and started crying.
"Liz, it's not your fault," Colleen said, as she was calming her down.
"No, it is. I should've stopped them from fighting quicker. I should've paid attention to Jack."
"Listen, missy. It's not your fault. It's that gold digger's fault. She had to fight with him! See? That's what he gets for marrying a woman like her. It's like Bianca: Part Two."
It's been four weeks, and Jack hasn't woke up. Liz visited him every day like he was a chapel.
"I'm sorry," the nurse said on the other line.
"Thank you."
Liz hung up the phone and started crying.
"I know, baby, I know. It's alright, I'm here," she said, as she was hugging Liddy.
The nurse had just called Liz to say that Jack was brain-dead. At that moment, Liz remembered something Jack said to her a few years back: "You're the only one I know who won't hesitate to pull the plug."
This was real now, and she wasn't laughing.
She arrived at the hospital later that afternoon and signed all the papers. She left Liddy with a nurse and closed the hospital door. Alone with Jack.
"I-I can't believe I'm doing this," she started, saying things as if Jack was still alive, listening to her.
"I never even got to say how I felt. Jack, I love you. I always have. Sure, you may be a jackass sometimes, but you were the only one that would listen. Well, I'll keep my promise this time.
Tears started rolling down her cheeks as the machines grew silent. She hugged him, and gave him a kiss on the cheek. It was almost as if he was the one comforting her in his own death.
"Goodbye, Jack."
She ran out the hospital with Liddy in her arms. She couldn't stand looking at the baby. She looked far too much like Jack. She went home and cried all night, having to hire a babysitter to take care of Liddy. It was as if she killed him on purpose. She didn't eat or talk for days. She never turned the television on. It was as if everything she did revolved around Jack.
A few weeks later, Liz was invited to his funeral.
"Well, I don't know how to say this. Jack was my friend. He still is, even if he's not here with us anymore. He," she stopped. Tears were starting to roll down, and she wiped them by herself. Jack would say to her, "Lemon, stop crying. This is a public event," and wipe her tears away.
"He told me that I was the only one who wouldn't hesitate to pull the plug. It had to happen sometime. But I didn't want him to die. Not like this, anyway. He...he was a perfect guy."
A few days later, she was invited to the hearing of his will. Avery was there also, probably just to hear what she could own. Liz had to adopt Liddy, since she got put in foster care a few weeks earlier, saying that Avery was "not feeding or taking care of the child."
"Thank you for being there for me when I had relationship problems, and I'm sure you thank me for helping you with all these things. I wish we could talk more, but now, there's only one thing to say to you. All these things we do have caused me to love you. So to Elizabeth Lemon, my best friend: my house, my money, and all that I possess belongs to you now."
Slowly, things got better. Every once in a while, Liz would play back the tapes Jack made for his daughter. She would cry sometimes, but she knew things happened for the best. Amazingly, she got promoted and she now had Jack's job. Toofer became head writer, and TGS eventually had to end. Every time she entered her office, she felt happy. It was as if Jack was still with her. She took the picture of Avery and threw it away. Sometimes, during the meetings, Liz always remembered when she proposed the "Button Classic" idea to the guys when Jack was still alive. She didn't get sad, however. It pushed her to do her best.
Things always got better. Whatever happens, she'll never let go of Jack.
"This is going to be our year, Lemon."

Is That What The Kids Call It These Days?
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not mine...
Spoilers: Nope...
Pairing: Jack/Liz...
Summary: "Oh my god, what is that?!"
Oh, the day after Jack's birthday.
The sun blinded her eyes when she woke up and there was a pinching pain on her waist. But wait, why did the bed seem larger even if she couldn't see it? Why did it seem so comfy? Why did she hear light snoring? Why were the sheets dark red and made out of silk and not the regular ones she had?
And why was she NAKED?!
"What the--Jack?!"
"Lemon?! What are you doing in my bed?!"
"How the hell am I supposed to know?! Did we have sex?"
"No, Lemon. We just had an argument which involved taking our clothes off."
"Haha, you think you're so funny, huh?"
"I like to think that."
Liz pulled up the sheets closer to her.
"Where are my clothes?"
"Oh, here."
Jack picked up his dress shirt from the ground and gave it to her. She put it on, trying not to notice that Jack's cologne was on it. It smelt good.
"How far did you think we got?"
"Well, considering the condom in the trash can, I'd have to say pretty far. And Lemon, what is that on your waist? Is that a bandage?"
"Oh, yeah. I need to see if it's a bruise. Give me a second. I'll be in the bathroom and trying to locate my clothes."
Jack nodded.
Liz found her jeans and other clothing and went to the bathroom. She took the bandage off and saw that it was a tattoo. On her waist. Close to her...junk.
And it said one thing. Not a thing, but a name: Jack. She tucked the side of her hair to her ear and noticed one more thing. It was purple...lip-shaped.
"What the hell did you do to--Oh."
Liz saw Jack's back. Now, normally she wouldn't care, but there were...scratch marks on his arms and his back.
"Jack?"
"Yes, Lemon, what is it?"
"You have scratch marks all over your back and arms."
Jack chuckled.
"I never thought you to be the passionate type, Lemon."
"Can you explain this to me?" Liz asked, pointing to the mark that was on her neck.
"I believe that's called a hickey."
"Oh, shut up! I know what it's called! And here, look!" Liz said, while pulling the side of her jeans a little bit so Jack could see Liz's tattoo.
"That's a tattoo...with my name on it and a heart."
"And a heart....wait, what?!"
"Here, look," Jack grabbed a small mirror from his cabinet and gave it to Liz.
"Maybe it's for the Jack of hearts. Maybe we were in Vegas and we travelled from Vegas to New York!"
"Or...we could've went to the nearby casino and went to Atlantic City and back."
"Wait, why are we bringing up Atlantic City and Vegas and--Oh."
Jack pointed to the ring on Liz's left hand.
"W-w-we got married?! Again?! On accident?!"
Jack laughed.
"We're a mess, aren't we, Lemon?"
"Oh my god. I need to get to work. WE need to get to work. But, I haven't had breakfast yet."
Jack put on his clothes and headed for the kitchen. He cooked Liz an omelet which tasted insanely good.
"Hey, are you gonna have the omelet?"
Jack didn't look up from the newspaper.
"Hey, did you hear me? I want to eat yours. Can I have it?"
"Liz, I thought we just had this conversation. You made it clear to both of us that we are not having sex again."
"Um, ew! I was asking if I could have your omelet!"
Jack gave her the omelet and Liz ate. Once they were all cleaned up, Liz put a scarf on her neck to keep the hickey from showing.
The driver dropped them off at Rockefeller Plaza, and Liz and Jack went back to work like usual.
"Hey, Liz!" Jenna said, as she walked in the door.
"What? Oh, hey Jenna."
"Are you tired?"
"I'm always tired."
"Yeah, but you seem a lot more tired than usual."
"I'm just tired, okay?"
Liz lied down on her couch.
"Hey, why are you wearing a scarf? It's April."
"I'm just trying to make...a fashion statement."
Jenna scoffed.
"You? A fashion statement? Please."
Jenna took off her scarf and that's when every secret poured out.
"Oh my god, what is that?! Is that a hickey?!"
Liz just nodded. She put her left hand on her stomach.
"Liz? Is that a wedding ring?!"
Liz nodded again.
Liz's shirt was kind of down, and Jenna saw what she didn't need to see.
"Holy mother of--Is that a tattoo with Jack's name on it and a heart?!"
Liz sat up from her couch, looking frustrated.
"Yes, Jenna! Okay?! Jack and I got married last night, went to a tattoo place, and had sex. But we were drunk, so you can't blame me! It was his birthday, anyway."
Jenna nodded, and made her way to the door. She opened the door to make sure everyone was listening.
"Sure. Gotcha, boss. I mean, Mrs. Donaghy."
Liz gave her an angry look and shut the door.
"Hey, Liz?" Cerie asked, while knocking on the door.
"What?!"
"Your husband wants to see you."
"Alright, tell him I'll be there in half an hour."
"No, he said now."
Liz stormed out of her office and made her way to Jack's office. There, a grinning Jonathan greeted her.
"Hello, Mrs. Donaghy! Mr. Donaghy is there having a talk with Mrs. Donaghy and is there with the former Mrs. Donaghy."
"So...what you're trying to say is that you're saying hi to me, and that Jack is having a talk with Colleen and Avery?"
Jonathan nodded, keeping his smile.
"That's a lot of Donaghys in a sentence."
Liz went inside the office.
"Lizzie! How are you, dear?" Colleen asked, giving her a hug.
"Hi, Colleen. I'm great, how are you?"
"I'm ecstatic. Finding out that you're my new daughter-in-law is the best news in my whole life."
Liz chuckled. But she stopped when she saw Avery talking to Jack.
"But what about Liddy? Huh?! What about her?" Avery asked.
"What about her? Avery, I took a DNA test. She's not mine. We've been divorced for a year now...why are you not over this? Over us?"
"Because you married her, Jack! Again!"
"You know what? I'm gonna file a restraining order on you. 1,000 feet away from me and my wife. Now, make your way to the door please."
"Whatever."
After Colleen and Avery left, Liz sat on the couch to relax.
"So...that's how a Donaghy argument goes, huh?"
Jack nodded.
"Are we gonna get divorced?"
"It's up to you, Lemon."
"I mean, I do want to. But what happens when I date other people and I tell them I married and divorced the same guy twice? They'd think I was just desperate!"
"Shh, Lemon, it's okay."
"You know you're gonna have to stop calling me Lemon."
"So, we're not divorcing?"
"Nope. I'm all yours buddy. And I promise this marriage will be better than our last one."
Jack laughed and there was an awkward silence.
"Soooo...." he said.
"Lock the doors," she commanded him.
Later that day after Jack and Liz "confessed" their feelings for one another (in a very different way), Jenna went back to Liz's office.
"Hey there, Jack's wife!" she said.
"Wha--oh, hey Jenna."
"Hey, what...is that another hickey from Jack?!"
"No, it's just something that caused fooling around to be very passionate and--"
"Is that what the kids call it these days?"
"No! But I gotta tell you something, Jenna."
"Okay...what is it??"
"You're the only person that's going to know about this, okay?"
Jenna nodded.
"So, Jack and I were having sex. Like really hot sex, the kind that horny teenagers have."
"Get to the point, Liz!"
"Anyways, when I was kissing him like really hard, he stopped. His kisses became softer and we went slower. We weren't having sex anymore, Jenna. He was making love to me."
"Oh my god, that's so sweet!"
"But I gotta tell you: BEST SEX OF MY LIFE!" Liz yelled rather loudly, but she soon regretted saying that when Jack opened the door to her office at that moment.
"Oh. Hi, Jack," Liz said, turning red.
"No need to be embarrassed, Elizabeth. I know what you meant."
"Alright. Well, I'll just go and leave you two be," Jenna said, as she ran to exit Liz's office.
"Liz," Jack said, while they were kissing.
"Hmm?"
"I want you to have this," Jack replied, pulling out a ring.
"Oh my--um, thanks Jack," she said with a smile.
"Just to let you know that I'm all yours and vice-versa."
"Well, Mister Donaghy, would you like to go have dinner with me tonight?"
"I would love to," Jack said, before kissing her one last time.
